The American Marketing Association at the University of Michigan-Dearborn hosted a LinkedIn event last week as a part of marketing week. LinkedIn enthusiast Christine Karaptian (Director, Human Resources at Valassis Digital Media) came and spoke about LinkedIn. She stressed the importance of LinkedIn and how college student to utilize their account to their advantage. A week after her presentation a Marketing student came up to me and told me how he was able to get an interview with a company after updating his LinkedIn account.
